Off Road Kart

An off road kart is like a go-kart for the trails and typically includes two seats and a roll cage. The driver sits on the floor of the vehicle and the engine is typically behind the seats. They are often only two wheel drive but have large tires in the back which get great traction.

An off road kart is a suitable way for younger drivers to enjoy off road riding. Even kids can drive these karts when they are small enough, though some are obviously designed for adults and can even have more than one passenger. Sand rails are similar but are designed for sand dunes.

An off road kart can be found already manufactured from many companies or be found in kits that have to assembled at a home garage. There are a large group of people who make their karts from old cars such as VW bugs or make them completely from scratch and build the engines specifically for that.
